I just happened to come across this image of Dubai back in 1991 and found it absolutely amazing! The shear amount of planning, designing and construction that has gone on in the last 22 years is unbelievable, with the result of growth obvious to see.

The city of Dubai isn't the only one to be on a fast train towards further growth, China also prides itself on how far they have come since the 90's. Below is a photo of Shanghai, China in 1990 & 2010 where again the rise of an urban landscape is clear to see, tall skyscrapers, bright lights coming together to create a city buzzing with activity.

The acceleration of technology is evident in this image, which leads us to think where will we be in another 20+ years? How is technology going to progress further? Where will it take us?
